TY101 Mechanics
Intro to Mechanics & simple machines | 1.5 hrs x 10 lessons
Service Description
Does your child ask you how things work or why things are the way they are? If so, this course is perfect for your budding young scientist to start tinkering with science and mechanics! Perfect for beginners to Science Tech Engineering Arts and Math (STEAM), in this module we focus on science, which is a study of how and why things work, as well as mechanics - how objects move, pull and push forces, how gears, pulleys, and other mechanical parts work. During this course, students will build their own mechanical machines and thereafter develop an understanding of the basic mechanics behind robotics. Topics covered during the course include the following: Math - quantity - shape - positioning (order, absolute vs relational) Science - mechanical movement - forces (pull & push) Tech - simple machines - chain reactions During term time, this 15-hour course is conducted over 10 lessons of 1.5 hours each. This course is also available as a holiday camp. ** min. 4 pax to start
